"Those stealing bastards..." you cursed quietly while leaning on a brick wall in an alleyway. You waited for the 'fellow' pirates to enjoy their time at the bar while your crew members stayed at the ship. You remembered clearly that the captain had gripped the collar of your shirt and threatening you for interfering with a certain plan they had and you were certain he had taken something special of yours.
You heard the bar door creak open and a riot of laughter. The voice of the captain made your ears cringe and your anger dragged you out of our place as you stood firmly in his path. The building overshadowed your face as the sun was setting blocking your identity from the man in front of you.
The black haired man with a missing tooth glanced up and down at your body noticing that you were fully clothed, however, your cleavage was still clearly displayed. He cringed and tried to look at your face, "What are you? A hooker?" You stepped out into the light and he became angry, "I thought I told you to stay out of my way!"
"You stole something precious to me," you sternly said, "And I want it back!"
A 'tch' came out of his mouth and continued to walk and his crew members followed with proud faces. You looked at him with piercing eyes and a wave of intimidation pulsed out of you causing all of his crew members to faint. The cliche looking Captain saw this horror as he tried to run but you grasped his neck tightly before he could. He never expected a woman like you to have Conqueror's Haki.
Slamming him onto the ground, he begged for air and you spoke. "Where is it?"
"What happened here?" a familiar man slightly chuckled while he stepped over some fainted bodies. Your heart froze as you turned your head to see Red-haired Shanks and his face lit up at the sight of you. "(Y/n)? What a surprise to see you here!" He ran towards you but you pushed him out of the way with your free arm knocking him to the floor.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" you gestured to the man you continued to choke.
"Oh..." he realized while sitting upwards, "Do you need any help?"
"Of course not."
You peered at the man below you and he nudged your arm with his closed hand holding something. His face was turning red as he tried to gasp for air but you still didn't trust him. Thus you used your free hand to accept his offer and he revealed the golden necklace he had taken from you. You released his neck but before he could run you smacked him. Hard.
"Stay away from me and my crew, got it?"
The red hand print glowed on his cheek and hatred slipped from his tongue, "You arrogant bitch! I hope you rot in h-" His breathing passage was cut off once more but not by your hand.
"Don't you dare talk to my wife like that!" Shanks gripped his neck tighter almost suffocating the man and then let him go. The black haired pirate ran for his life while you turned away from Shanks' gaze shrugging off his presence. You were walking past all of the unconscious bodies around you as he followed and you were a bit irritated but continued to walk.
"Stop calling me your wife," you demanded coldly while hiding the golden necklace in your hands, "I left you for a reason."
He rested his only arm on your shoulders and gave you a cocky smile, "But technically by law we are still married..."
You shrugged his arm off and stuffed the golden necklace in your pocket before he could notice. "I'm a pirate and so are you," you reminded him, "The law doesn't matter to me...and it shouldn't even matter to you. Especially after what you did to me!"
Your words dragged his heart up to his throat and he gulped. The guilt never left but you did and it haunted him for years. The statement that flowed out of you made his glimmer of hope just a bit smaller. Shanks scratched the back of his neck from discomfort, "Listen," he spoke but you refused to look at him, "I wasn't being myself and I made a mistake. I'm sorry."
You shook your head in disapproval, "You speak as if it was an accident..."
"It was kind of an accident."
You stopped walking and gave him a flabbergasted stare as you crossed your arms, "You mean you accidentally slept with another woman?"
He could hear in the tone of your voice that there was no way you'd accept anything he had to say. However, Shanks continued to talk in desperation. "Come on," he defended, "I was drunk and I didn't know what I was doing. It's not like I meant to sleep with someone else."
"But you still did it," you scoffed.
"I didn't mean to though."
You remained in your same position and repeated, "But you still did it."
"But I never intended to-"
"But you STILL did it," you interrupted and rolled your eyes, "Goodness Shanks, why are we even having this conversation?"
"Because I still love you," he answered with a slight smile, "and I miss you a lot." He was dying to caress your cheek and kiss the lips that used to say 'I love you more' but he knew that would drive you away. It would be futile for him to even try such a thing but still... he would never give up on you.
"You're wasting your time," you assured him as you turned around and walked away. Deep down your heart still felt for him and even more when he spoke to you in such a reminiscent attitude. It made your heart beat faster from nervousness and you couldn't bear it any longer. You just had to walk away but then he spoke once more.
"Any moment with you is never a waste of time."
You paused while gritting your teeth and you became disgusted with yourself for craving him again. He still had that charm and to this day you still couldn't understand how he could be so calm. It pissed you off. However, you didn't know that he was completely shattered knowing you didn't want to be around him any longer and you were becoming more frustrated by the second. You raised your hand about to slap him across the face until someone called out to you.
"Mommy!" A little red headed boy ran up to you in excitement and hugged your leg; your son. "I found you~" he smiled looking up at you. You flustered wondering why your son was alone running in the streets until you heard the voice of, Michael, your cousin and first mate.
"Get back over here!" he yelled furiously until his face turned pale at the sight of your face. "H-hey Captain..." he nervously spoke until he saw the person behind you, "What's that bastard doing here?"
"I have this taken care of," you assured him, "but may I ask why Caleb was running so freely in the streets?"
"We were playing hide-and-seek," your son smiled brightly while tugging at your shirt so you could pick him up and you did. "But Uncle Mike couldn't find me," he teased while sticking his tongue out at the said man. Michael was on the verge of strangling the child for ratting him out but you interrupted.
"Take Caleb back to the ship before I lose my temper." You handed your son to Michael and he ran as fast as he feet could. You exhaled deeply out of displeasure and embarrassment because Shanks had just witnessed this.
"Y-You have a," Shanks hesitated.
"Yes," answered knowing what he was going to ask, "I have son." Shanks went pale for a moment at the idea and you turned around, "WE have a son. That day I found you sleeping with another woman I was actually going to tell you I was pregnant. I was kind of excited, you know?" You held yourself back from tearing up and tried not to choke up.
Shanks found himself in a daze, he just couldn't believe this news but the corner of his lips still tugged into a smile, "I'm a father!" he exclaimed in awe.
A tear left your right eye out of joy and anger. His reaction brought you delight but the feelings conflicted each other so much that you weren't sure what to feel and then he embraced you. You were paralyzed all over from shock and his arm squeezed you tighter as he lifted you from the ground to spin you around. This was the man you knew too well and loved and it scared you to know that you were falling for him once again. Despite the good feeling, however, you still couldn't trust him or yourself.
"Let. Go. Of me," you firmly spat at him refusing to show any positive emotion towards him.
He sighed a lonesome sigh and released you but there were no exchanging of words as you immediately walked away. His hand reached out to you, longing to touch you once more. "(Y/n) please let me-"
"I don't want to hear it, Shanks," you cut him off.
He shut his mouth and watched you walk away. He felt the pain of losing you once more but he thought that his pain could not even compare to yours and he wanted to fix that. The determination to get you back still lingered in him but he just couldn't figure out what to do and he soon found himself walking away as well. It's not like he wanted to. He was just afraid that he'd do something that would upset you and that he would surely regret. However, he knew this for sure, you would never escape his mind or his heart.
He scratched the back of his neck and sighed, "I need a drink."

OP SMIH Pt 2: X Drake
You had fought many a strange things, been on many a strange islands. You'd even been on an island filled with dinosaurs. It was a bit strange at the time. Now since you'd been on the grand line for such a long time, things like that seemed normal. Nothing about your current situation seemed normal. Even by Grand line standards this was bizarre. You had been fighting enemy pirates on the beach of the island the straw hats had recently stopped at. At some point during the fight you had registered another pirate ship arriving. You didn't recognized it so you had gone back to fighting, forgetting all about it. Soon some pirates you didn't r

Gangland // Shanks x Reader (Pt. 18)
The next few days had been quiet and lonely, but that's exactly what you needed. You used your vacation days to take a break from the bar, allowing Nami and Koala to man it for awhile. You had been in contact with Ace a few times to check on him, and thankfully he was doing better than fine.
Unlike your lax few days, Shanks had been busier than ever. He had been gone nearly every day this week with Yassopp and the others doing who knows what. In fact, your lack of knowledge of his whereabouts and actions irked you. It was obvious whatever was going on was important, considering how stressed he always was whenever he did come back.

Had this idea for the longest time and it still taking some time to write it but I decided to post the first part here since this account is more One Piece based. Hope you enjoy and let me know what you think! (I do not own One Piece or images)
